Retail - Selfridges Garment Covers
Made in three sizes; small, medium and large, the garment covers produced for Selfridges are the first utilising recycled plastic bottles, with seven, eight and twelve bottles used for each cover size. 220,000 bottles are expected to have been used from post consumer waste, in the first six month of the project. The innovative process of turning reclyed plastic bottles into fabric has enabled Selfridges to be the first retailer known to have produced garment covers in this way and enabled them to demonstrate to customers their commitment to tackling plastic pollution.
